Valor Mortis PC requirements, cleared from the screen you own
Valor Mortis is out on PC, and its official spec stops at 30 FPS on Low. Shadow PC gives you a full Windows PC with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX GPU, streamed to your laptop, your Mac or your TV.
Thirty frames on Low. That's the whole official spec.
Valor Mortis launched on October 13, 2026, on Steam, in the Xbox app and in PC Game Pass. One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner, has published a single set of Valor Mortis PC requirements, and it's the minimum: a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX 5600 XT, a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-10600K, 16 GB of RAM, Windows 10 and 60 GB of free space on an SSD. The note underneath tells you what that buys: 30 FPS at 1080p on Low, with upscaling on.
A first-person soulslike asks you to read a sabre swing and answer it in a heartbeat. At 30 frames on Low, that read gets harder. If your PC sits at the minimum or below it, Shadow PC is the other way in: a full Windows 11 PC in the cloud with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX GPU, streamed to the laptop, Mac or TV you already have. Install Steam or the Xbox app, download the game, and play Valor Mortis tonight without upgrading anything.
Where Shadow PC picks up from your PC
1. 30 FPS on Low is where the spec ends
Valor Mortis runs on Unreal Engine 5, and the minimum spec is honest about it. A GTX 1660 Ti class card holds 30 FPS at 1080p on Low, and only because upscaling renders part of each frame below 1080p. Older cards sit under that line, and lowering settings has little left to give.
Your Shadow PC runs on a dedicated NVIDIA RTX GPU. On our published benchmarks (high settings, ray tracing on, DLSS off), Cyberpunk 2077 holds 68 FPS in 1080p on Neo and 95 FPS on Power. It's the same card whether you connect from a 2018 laptop, a MacBook Air or a Chromebook.
2. An SSD or nothing, and 60 GB of it
The Steam page leaves no room for a hard drive: SSD required, 60 GB free. A desktop still booting from a mechanical disk is out, and on a 256 GB laptop the game takes close to a quarter of the drive before your first duel.
On Shadow PC, Valor Mortis installs on our SSD, and the download runs at up to 1 Gb/s whatever your home connection does. Shadow PC comes with 512 GB, expandable up to 5 TB, so the game sits next to the rest of your library. Your own drive keeps its space.
3. Steam or PC Game Pass, Mac included
Shadow PC is a Windows PC, so you pick the store. Buy Valor Mortis on Steam, or launch it from the Xbox app with PC Game Pass, where it's included from day one. Your saves and settings stay on a PC reserved for you.
There's no Mac version of the game, and you won't miss it. Open the Shadow app on your MacBook, a laptop, or an Apple TV or Android TV box, pair an Xbox or DualSense controller, and your campaign picks up where you left it. Your PC follows you from one screen to the next, one session at a time.

Valor Mortis at a glance
Valor Mortis is a first-person action soulslike from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner, published by Lyrical Games and built on Unreal Engine 5. You play William Dowsett, a soldier of Napoleon's Grande Armée who rises from the dead in a Europe ravaged by a plague and the creatures it breeds. Combat mixes sabre, firearms and supernatural powers over a campaign of around 20 hours, and the game is single-player only. It launched on October 13, 2026 on PC (Steam and the Xbox app), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, at €39.99 for the standard edition, and it's in Game Pass from day one. There is no native Mac version.

FAQ
The official minimum is a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX 5600 XT, a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i5-10600K, 16 GB of RAM, Windows 10 and DirectX 12, with 60 GB free on an SSD. The studio says this setup targets 30 FPS at 1080p on Low settings, with upscaling on. If your PC falls short, Shadow PC gives you a Windows PC with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX GPU that you stream to the device you already own.
Not natively: Valor Mortis is released for Windows only, with no macOS version. With Shadow PC, the Windows version runs on a PC in the cloud and streams to your Mac through the Shadow app for macOS. You install the game from Steam or the Xbox app, exactly as you would on a Windows PC.
Yes. Valor Mortis has been in Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass since launch day, October 13, 2026. Shadow PC is a full Windows PC, so you can install the Xbox app on it, sign in with your account and play the PC Game Pass version from your laptop, Mac or TV.
The game isn't included in a Shadow PC subscription. Shadow PC is a PC, not a game catalog: you buy Valor Mortis on Steam (€39.99 for the standard edition) or play it through your own PC Game Pass subscription, then install it on your Shadow PC like on any computer.
Yes. The Steam page lists an SSD as required, with 60 GB of free space. Every Shadow PC runs on SSD storage: 256 GB on Shadow PC Lite and 512 GB on Shadow PC, both expandable up to 5 TB. Downloads run at up to 1 Gb/s on the Shadow PC side.
Neo is a good fit for 1080p or 1440p on a laptop or a monitor. Power gives up to 50% more GPU power, with 20 GB of VRAM and 28 GB of RAM, for a 4K TV or a high refresh rate screen. If you play a few hours a day, Shadow PC Lite streams in 1440p with sessions of up to 4 hours. Every offer comes with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX GPU and no commitment.
Yes. Valor Mortis has full controller support, Xbox and DualSense controllers included. Connect an Android TV, Google TV or Apple TV box (tvOS 14 or later) to your TV, install the Shadow app, pair your controller and launch the game from your Shadow PC.
Shadow recommends at least 15 Mbit/s. For a smooth 1080p picture, aim for 50 Mbit/s, and 100 Mbit/s for 4K. Use Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi when you can. The game itself downloads on the Shadow PC side, at up to 1 Gb/s, so your own connection only carries the stream.
